Athens is from Northern California, where she whetted her appetite for editing with numerous magazines and newspapers. While an undergraduate in Los Angeles, she distinguished herself by possessing a sharp, critical editing eye, and a professor presented her with an opportunity to edit a reference book series. Athens enjoys maintaining her wide repertoire of editing styles to suit each medium-from websites to textbooks and everything in between. When not editing, she can be found mentoring students in high school.
