Marco Manfre was born and raised in New York City. He taught in the New York City school system from September of 1968 until June of 2004. During those years he also worked as a freelance editor and writer. He has edited documents written by undergraduate and graduate students, teachers, administrators, psychologists, doctors, attorneys, corporate executives, and writers. His areas of special interest include history, psychology, technology, education, comparative religion, philosophy, and the arts. His poetry, short fiction, and essays have been published in scholarly journals.

Mr. Manfre is an avid reader. He enjoys reading serious fiction, biographies, and history. He reads The New York Times, Newsweek, and Time Magazine.
